Academic patches recognize the grades, honors, organizations and accomplishments that deserve a permanent place on a varsity letterman jacket. Choose from chenille designs for academic excellence, National Honor Society, medical programs and other scholastic achievements, then customize the colors to coordinate with your school and jacket.

Our academic chenille patches are designed to recognize scholastic achievement with the same bold, traditional look as varsity sports patches. This collection includes Academic Excellence designs, National Honor Society patches, medical and education-themed designs and other patches created for students who have earned recognition beyond athletics.

Most designs can be customized in your school colors by selecting from the chenille, embroidery and felt colors available on the individual product page.

Select the academic patch design you want, then choose the available colors and personalization options shown on the product page. If you need a special color combination, lettering arrangement or other adjustment that is not shown in the standard options, include your instructions in the comment box during checkout.

If you are ordering patches with one of our varsity letterman jackets, we can sew them onto the jacket as part of your order.

The size listed for each patch refers approximately to the outside dimensions of the main chenille design. The top felt extends approximately 0.12 inch beyond the chenille, while the bottom felt extends approximately 0.30 inch beyond the top felt, so the finished patch will be larger than the listed chenille size. Designs using an additional felt layer may be slightly larger.

Academic patches work well on the front, sleeves or back of varsity letterman jackets depending on the size and shape of the design. Most designs can also be adjusted approximately 15% larger or smaller when requested.

Our academic patches are produced using chenille, embroidery and layered felt to create the dimensional appearance traditionally associated with varsity letterman jackets and school awards. Each design is individually set up and manufactured rather than pulled from a generic stock patch assortment.
